We are looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s Deaf Festival! To ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive experience for all attendees, we ask that all guests review and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
General Admission and Conduct
- Supervision of Children: Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision of children at all times. Children may be provided with wristbands to assist with reunification if separated.
- Personal Responsibility: All attendees are encouraged to remain hydrated, wear appropriate footwear, and be mindful of environmental and event-related risks.
Tickets and Refunds
- To enter the event you must hold a valid ticket
- No Refunds Policy: Tickets are non-refundable except as required under the Live Performance Australia Industry Code of Practice or relevant consumer laws.
- Ticket Transfer: Tickets may not be resold, transferred for commercial gain, or used in promotions or advertising without written consent from the organisers.
- Event Changes: In the event of cancellation, rescheduling, or relocation, ticket holders will be notified and may be entitled to a refund, credit, or alternative arrangement as applicable.
Event Entry and Safety
- The Organiser reserves the right, with reasonable cause, to refuse entry or remove any person without entitlement to a refund, including any person who causes a disturbance, or refuses to comply with reasonable requests made by the Organiser.
- Entry Conditions: Entry to the event is conditional upon agreement to a personal and bag search, if requested, for safety and security reasons.
- Prohibited Substances: The consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs, and smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited within the event area, including both open and private spaces.
- Animals: Pets are not permitted. Only trained and registered assistance dogs are allowed on site.
Photography and Media
- Consent Required: Attendees are welcome to take photos or videos, but must respect the privacy of others. Please obtain consent before photographing or filming individuals, especially children.
- The event will be photographed and filmed by a professional team. Wrist bands are available to show you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, or please advise the team.
Unacceptable Behaviour and Consequences
- Code of Conduct: All attendees must treat others with respect and behave in a manner that supports a safe and inclusive environment.
- Disciplinary Measures:
- First Offence: Verbal warning or temporary removal from a specific area.
- Second Offence: Removal from the event and/or potential exclusion from future events.
- Serious Breach: May result in immediate removal and notification to authorities.
- Note: Event organisers reserve the right to escalate or modify these responses based on severity.
Marketing and Promotional Activity
- No Guerrilla Marketing: To support the integrity of the event and fairness to approved stallholders:
- Promotional activity without prior approval is prohibited (e.g., flyers, branded attire, signage, unauthorised advertising).
- Disruptive or unauthorised marketing may result in removal from the event.
- Organisers reserve the right to determine what constitutes unauthorised or disruptive activity.
Liability Disclaimer
- The organisers are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- Attendance is at your own risk, and all participants are expected to behave in a manner that ensures safety and well-being for themselves and others.
